I have deep respect for the significance of what is probably the most profound, yet so often underestimated, life change a birthing person will experience - the transition into parenthood.
The first weeks and months of life with a newborn come with joy, but also challenges. It is not uncommon for the birthing parent to feel a myriad of strong emotions during the postpartum period, even if they have had children before. In addition to elation and wonder, many of us feel overwhelmed, unprepared, exhausted and isolated.
My passion lies in providing a safe haven of compassion and unconditional support to new parents as they navigate the "4th trimester". I view this unique window of vulnerability and love as an opportunity to align with your truest self and create a pattern of health for decades to come.
I come into your home with resources, evidence based information, professional hands, and an open heart, making your transition not only easier, but also one of deep renewal and peace. Time and space is given to experience the present and move forward, to learn and to grow. I love helping families feel connected, calm, and confident.
During my career as a professional dancer and photographer, I completed my training as a Postpartum Doula with Birth Arts International. I began my work as a facilitator of parent support groups and postpartum dance classes, and later I began working with families one on one in their homes. I am honored to share the intimate space of birth - not only that of the baby but of the family as a whole.
I am a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, Newborn Mothers Postpartum Professional, Newborn Care Specialist, budding herbalist, and Reiki II Practitioner. I live with my partner and two children in Brooklyn, NY.
